Paper on remote surgical support service using Join, „Remote neuro-endovascular consultation using a secure telemedicine system: A feasibility study“ has been published in Surgical Neurology International.
Remote consultation for surgery was conducted between The Jikei University Hospital and Neurosurgery Higashiyokohama Hospital through voice communication over a web conferencing system while live streaming video from angiography and operating room (OR) cameras were viewed via Join. It was concluded that this system plays an important role in acute stroke management and can maintain the quality of medical care even remotely.
